Professionalism in Family Child Care (also available for Child Care)

Workshop

Explore Characteristics of the Continuum of a Family Child Care professional.  Determine specific practice related to Family Child Care related according to the FCCC Code of Ethics. Discuss Communication guidelines related to Family Child Care

(This workshop is a basic introduction to ethical practices.)

Workshop

Professionalism is the ability to plan knowledgeably and competently to make a sustained difference; to diagnose and analyse experiences; to select the most appropriate interventions, to apply them skilfully, and to describe why they were selected. Creating “Evidence” of Ethics in practice for portfolios (Follow up to Ethics: The Journey).  This workshop explores creative strategies for actively implementing Ethics in action.

Team Building - True Colors Workshop

 “Each of the people you work with has a unique spectrum of True colors that influences everything he or she does, including their work habits, what motivates them, what stresses them out, what makes them excel, and what turns them off. Understanding this allows you to work more effectively with your ‘true’ team mates, and to create a work environment that truly plays to their strengths.

ColourSpectrums™

Workshop

 A personality styles and human dynamics model presented to groups in an entertaining, interactive workshop format. Participants sort the 4 colourfully illustrated attribute cards to identify their natural ColourSpectrums™ - a combination of the 4 developmental areas of personality development: Blue Emotional development Green Intellectual development Red Physical development Yellow Organizational development. Participants are guided through a process of self-reflection, group discussions and activities to discover and celebrate diverse personality strengths.

The workshop will explore - In the first half "Introductory Session" you'll discover what your distinct personality style is, your natural strengths and how to recognize the natural strengths of others. The second half, you'll learn some strategies on how to use ColourSpectrums™ to resolve conflicts and manage stress in your professional and personal life.

This half day workshop will increase your confidence as a communicator by helping you understand your own communication style as well as some of the many typical communication pitfalls that may be affecting your personal and professional relationships.
