November 19, 2010 – Over the past year, ARCQE has focused a series of professional development events with emphasis on the importance of returning to basics with respect to the value of “Play”. That being said, in order for professionals to be able to support a playful nature with young children, we must first embrace the ability to rekindle playful spirits as adults, including the ability to laugh at ourselves. Over time as childhood memories are left behind, it often seems stresses of adulthood, parenting, and busy career tracts shift us to viewing things more frequently from the serious side of life.
Given this, ARCQE has decided what better way to lead into National Child’s Day then coming together as a sector for an evening celebrating “Play” connecting child care professionals across the province in a playful spirit of laughter… As a means of launching our theme… “Down with Superwoman”, ARCQE staff will help set the stage for our special evening of superwomen speakers, by engaging all of you in a mini-rendition of our latest ARCQE workshop titled Super Hero Play- where together through the magic of childhood memory recall, we will collectively design our very own current day Superhero, (guaranteed to get you laughing), then prepare to sit back and enjoy this year’s keynote speaker as she shares some of the fun spirited accounts that have happened to her along the way to career success~
